One year ago today

I cannot believe a year has passed already! March 22nd, 2009 was the day we met Max's birth parents. April's due date was March 25th! That was one wildly exciting week. I described the meeting in one of my first posts: http://godlytomatoes.blogspot.com/2009/10/maxs-story.html I sent April a text today telling her that I was thinking of her and Todd and that we love them very much. We are having Todd's parents over for dinner tomorrow night...something we do every now and then. They are so sweet. Last night we (Max's biological grandma and I) were texting back and forth and I told her some little things that Max is doing, and told her that he is so smart and funny and that we feel like we hit the baby lotto. She replied, "I am so happy he has you for a mom. You are truly a gift. I never have to worry about my sweet little grandson." And She and her husband adore Levi just as much as they do Max. We really lucked out with a great birth family. We don't see them as often as we'd like (about every 3 months,) but they really are wonderful.
