Lola's

Zach and I had a great double date with our friends who are visiting from California tonight. I love that I have friends that I've known since I was a baby. I remember Hannah and I pretending to be animals in our laundry basket cages when we were 2 and 3. She has 5 brothers and I have 3 brothers, and so we decided at some point that we should be sisters. We don't see each other too often these days, but we are always able to pick up where we left off.

Tonight's dinner was really great. Lola's at the Bowery (downtown) never lets us down. We've been there a handful of times, and it is fantastic. In addition to absolutely delicious food, the atmosphere is great for a date. I have a hard time enjoying noisy, crowded, and clanging restaurants, no matter how impressive the food. Lola's is quiet and spacious and I'd definitely suggest it for a date place. Also, we grabbed desserts at Mod's (between 5th and 6th and Boston), and that was fun (and tasty) too. (Wednesday is $2.00 gelato night!) They have coffee and crepes of all sorts. We miss the mountains of Colorado for sure, but I must say...Tulsa has merit. There are a lot of great restaurants, parks, museums, and fun things to do here. I guess Friends had it right. Tulsa is indeed the "Paris of Oklahoma." :-)

Love,
Kate
