Tired after a wonderful day! Love those lips :)
Brothers in the great outdoors.
Rock-climbing with friend "Keegan."
Max loves the water!
The boys love sleeping (in the hallway) on their new "sleeping bags." I don't think we'll set up the crib again when we get back. These boys might be ready for big boy beds.
2 weeks to go and then we're off to Africa! We are getting more excited with each passing day. The house is a little messy with odds and ends and half-packed boxes, but we're making huge strides in getting prepared. Let me just say that our dietary standards have plummeted in recent weeks. We're eating Chipotle, Tace Bueno, yogurt with fruit, cereal, macaroni and cheese, and many, many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My only requirement at the grocery store is that each item is something I am sure we will not waste. We are still waiting on our visas and are expecting them any day. I am such a planner, that this last minute stuff is just painful. I have had fun preparing for ways to keep the kids occupied on the plane though. So far, I think this transition has been the hardest for Levi. He is watching us box up or give away all of our belongings at a time when sharing can be a challenge. We are trying to be extra-sensitive to him during this time. Today, I decided that they needed a little play away from the house, so I took them to a park and we had a spontaneous rendezvous in the creek. Awww! Their first time to experience nakedness in a cold creek. They has a blast! Before they decided to go into the water, Levi was very worried about Max and said, "I'm worried about you brother, because you don't know how to swim." I think that they are going to have a wonderful time in Africa. Did I mention that there are going to be 25 missionary kids?? How fun! Yes, we just have to make it through the next 2 weeks intact and in love--then we'll be good to go :)
Love,
Kate
