Max's favorite part was petting the huge golden retriever that lives at the Christmas tree farm.

I love real Christmas trees. I'm quite sure there are more environmentally-friendly options out there, but the magic of a real tree with its scent and all the lights shining through...well, I just think it's hard to beat. In fact, when my parents discussed purchasing an artificial tree when I was in high school, I protested. Then, in my first year of college, they bought a fake tree and have enjoyed it ever since. Last year, I tried to buy an artificial tree. I tried with all of my might, and I went to Hobby Lobby and I just couldn't go through with it. And they were half off and everything :)
